Trainer, Laura YoungDirector and trainer Laura Young has a diverse riding background and is versatile in many aspects of horses. Her teaching talent includes from the arena to the classroom. As the director of Texas A&I University horse program in Kingsville, teaching classes for a minor in equine science she was involved in the further development of that curriculum. Ms. Young has trained numerous all-around winners and has coached many all-around riders. Her specialties are junior western pleasure and trail classes. Clients benefit greatly from her experiences with horses and diverse interests. 

Ms. Young began riding in the rodeo arena, TYRA (Texas Youth Rodeo Association).   Barrels, poles, calf roping, and goat tying were among the high school activities she competed in at the local and state levels . Her English riding was introduced after college. Ms. Young’s dressage and jumping skills were shaped by the discipline’s very best instructors and became an intricate primary part of building a solid base training program. Western riding came back in the forefront when she starting showing cutters in NCHA and ACHA (both national cutting associations). After riding such well bred and good minded Quarter Horses, showing junior western pleasure and Jr. trail horses just began the next phase of enjoyment being involved with AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association). Currently a competitor in a variety of breed association shows, instructing riding, and coaching exhibitors is Ms. Young's continuing journey with horses.
